Pastor Sam:  Strung out on heroin, I was sentenced to forty years in prison.  I gave my life to Christ in prison in 1977 and was released on probation after just eight years.  I am now a free man in Christ and blessed to serve God in pastoral leadership here at Covenant Church. 
Pastor Sherry:   I lived a life plagued with fear, resentment and isolation.  Stricken by cancer I was given just two years to live.  Praise God; now it's a life forgiven, restored, trusting and serving God and healed of cancer for six years.  Revelation 12:11 says "They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony."

Doug & Shuvawn S | Trainers

Doug:  I have been sober since June 12, 1988, but I felt I needed something more than sobriety.  I was left with unresolved feelings of fear and insecurity that manifested in anger, pornography, and co-dependency. With the help of Celebrate Recovery, and a willingness to be honest with myself and others, I have addressed both my anger and pornography problems and will always be working on my tendencies towards people pleasing. CR moved me from sobriety to recovery then into freedom with Christ like never before.
Shuvawn:   I lived behind walls of perfectionism and shame until God broke through with the help of Celebrate Recovery. Through accountability and healthy relationships, God has restored my life.

George & Pamela A | Encouragers

George:  I am a born again, walking, stomping mighty man of God, who suffers from fear of failure and fear of success. I hid and managed that fear by isolation, coldness and anger which developed into a sexual addiction to internet pornography. After watching other men stand tall, I sought after Celebrate Recovery to find out why I did what I did. My sobriety from hardcore porn started February 28, 2008!
Pamela:  I am a Spirit-filled Believer who grew up in a dysfunctional family. I have spent my adulthood trying fix everything and everybody, and keep the peace.  I lost who I was in the process. Through Celebrate Recovery I  am finding myself, have learned to establish boundaries and no longer have to fix everything!

Lance & Sandy B | Cross Roads Campus Coordinators

Lance:  My parents divorced when I was fifteen and I felt lost and alone in life.  I found drugs and sex after high school but they consumed me for years.  At age thirty I got married but still struggled with addictions and loneliness.  After confessing adultery, God restored my marriage of now twenty years and through CR He is restoring my relationship with my daughter.
Sandy:  Despite quitting drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes in which I hid as a teen, for years I still stayed isolated in a tormenting thought-life of fear, depression and insecurity.  The love of the Lord through transparent real relationships in CR has allowed me to accept myself & find a freedom & joy I once doubted was possible.  …Perfect love casts out fear.  1 John 4:18 

Delilah R | Colleyville Campus Coordinator

Codependency was driving my life,  I allowed and enabled behavior in my marriage that led to divorce and  then a seconnd failed marriage.  Through Celebrate Recovery I have learned how much God values me, I have found myself in Christ and He has healed of my broken heart.  I am forgiven, restored and whole.

Raised with out a father and two abortions lead to disaster. I lived in guilt, shame and disconnected emotionally from those who loved me. God adopted me twenty-two years ago and I am no longer fatherless.  Celebrate Recovery has helped me to live free from the secrets of my past.
