Pastor Joel came to Dallas via San Diego and Tulsa. Joel began training in Tae Kwon Do in 1985 and made a career out of his childhood hobby. Joel began teaching the martial arts at age 14 and continued in that field for 12 years. Along the way, Joel owned and operated many martial arts academies, won hundreds of tournaments, and taught thousands of students. Joel's 15-year competition career earned him 6 Tae Kwon Do National Championships and 4 World Championships and landed him a spot on the U.S. Global Tae Kwon Do Team from1993 through 1997. Joel answered the call to ministry in 2000 at age 26, walking away from his vocation and competition career. Joel currently holds a 5th Degree Black Belt and is still in training. He began public speaking in 1990 and has become an international speaker in corporate, educational, athletic, and especially spiritual arenas. His creative, witty, and thought provoking style makes him enjoyable for all ages.

Born a Texan, Pastor Jennifer came to Dallas after a number of years in Oklahoma. She accepted Christ while attending college and pursued a career in cosmetology. Jennifer is a committed servant to the Children's and Youth ministry and for many years has felt a real calling to mentor young adult ladies. As a successful businesswoman, Jennifer has a thriving clientele and works part time as a stylist and full time as a mother, wife and pastor. Jennifer has a fun and unique presentation style and is very creative, utilizing her expertise in the fashion industry to convey a message of purity and identity in Christ Jesus.

Pastors Joel and Jennifer joined Covenant Church in 1998, came on staff in 2000, and were ordained as the Pastors over Legendary Youth in 2002. They are convinced of their calling by the Lord Jesus and are committed to their work with the congregation of Covenant Church.

Pastors Joel & Jennifer are the proud parents of their daughter Sydney.
