DAY TWO - GROW YOUR NO

GROW YOUR NO

Our new commitments and disciplines can be easier on DAY ONE than they are on subsequent days. The first day of anything has a boost to it simply by being brand new. All the fresh veggies and clean slates of day one can already feel withered and old by day two. The headache from eliminating toxins pounds away as we force our way through the inertia of our to-do list.

DAY-TWO can be the beginning of the wheels coming off of our commitments or the day that makes all the difference in the inevitable momentum for the days to come.

DAY TWO is the day when we can forget why we started this in the first place. Between the physical discomforts and vacant emotional spaces we can easily justify reverting to our old patterns for comfort. This is the moment we need to find the strength to not only stretch our “no” muscle but to grow our NO by rejecting the temptation of backward motion. We can train ourselves to rejoice in the pinch and pang of saying NO to our flesh instead of sliding back into the sludge of familiarity. Alternative to using our temporary wants and feelings as the fuel that backfires, we can passionately resist what is right in front of us, therefore setting ourselves up for the better YES!

When you think about all of the physical, emotional and relational symptoms that are stirred up by breaking cycles and changing destructive patterns…it really is infuriating. It is not fun to be emotionally stifled, relationally challenged and physically unwell. Putting ourselves on a new path comes at a cost to our comfort. Our challenge today is this… each time we FEEL the LOSS of the FAST- we CAN reframe the context of what our NO is making room for.

THE MORE YOU FEEL THE SYMPTOMS OF CHANGE, THE MORE CHANGE YOU ARE MAKING. IF YOU DON’T FEEL A DIFFERENCE NOW, YOU WON’T LIVE THE DIFFERENCE LATER.

You will feel it first, before you see the fruit of change. But remember that it all begins today. Everything you are praying for…grows from your NO.

A new start…grows from your NO. New opportunities…grow from your NO. New relationships…grow from your NO. New dreams…grow from your NO. A new YOU…grows from your NO.

A NEW YEAR…GROWS FROM YOUR NO.

WHAT KIND OF YEAR WILL YOUR NO GROW?

QUOTE FOR THE DAY - “You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage- pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically- to say ‘no’ to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger ‘yes’ burning inside.” -Stephen Covey
